The first day of school: chaotic and exciting. Everyone's wearing their best clothes, and new sneakers gleam white in the hallways. Everyone feels older, but I feel ancient.
This summer seems to have been one of the shortest I have ever experienced; it was only two months, and it wasn't even very hot. Coming back to school after a not-very-relaxing summer wasn't exactly fun. However, the new classes, as well as reunions with friends, was something to look forward to.
It's only been the first day of school, but it already feels like the last. Everyone's drowsy and tired, and we had a party during lunch, exactly like the last day of school last year. The only difference is the freshmen, who definitely bring some new characteristics to our school. :)
